Wireline Packer Permeability Test Packer Equipment

Geotechnical Permability Test Packer Equipment (Lugeon Testing)

Formation permeability is best determined in-situ by measurement of the flow of a known fluid into or out of the strata of interest. Inflatable packers are often used to isolate a zone for permeability testing sometimes referred to as Lugeon Testing or Transmissivity Testing.
AGE Developments manufacture a complete range of inflatable packers for these applications including wireline packers for use with wireline coring systems. AGE also supply all the ancillary equipment required for the tests, including flow meter assembly, pressure gauges and 24 hour backup support.
Test equipment is available to suit NQ, HQ and PQ sized core holes, and can be configured to single or straddle system setups to test large or more specific zones. Dependant on the depth of the test area pneumatic or hydraulic (SWiPS) packer test equipment is available for your testing requirements.
