Riserless Pump Packer

The alternative system to the traditional riser column method of water transfer to surface for electric submersible pumps. The system is ideally suited for deep dewatering bores. The AGE Riserless Pump Packer system uses the bore casing itself as the water conduit with no separate riser column required.
 
In addition to the reduced operational cost the downhole equipment can be very quickly and simply moved to another depth or removed entirely.

Quick Connect Dewatering Pump Column

AGE Developments was approached for an innovative solution to an inclined deep dewatering bore pump column for a highly corrosive environment where traditional Wellmaster, high tensile steel and Fibre Reinforced Pipe (FRP) pump column was not suitable.
 
Custom stainless steel Quick Connect Pump column was designed, manufactured, load and pressure tested with the following key features:
 
  • Resistance to hyper saline water environment
  • Installation of the column to be completed with standard casing elevators
  • Nylon locking mechanism capable of handling the pump duty requirements and installation weight
 
All lifting points were tested, stamped, certified and rated before installation. AGE Developments in conjunction with the pump supplier successfully installed two pump columns down hole in excess of 850m.
 

Traditional Pump Column – Oilfield Casing

In the instance of deep pump setting depths where potential shut-in water weights have to be carefully considered, oilfield casing can be used as the pump column.
 
Oilfield casing is used as the pump column of choice for several reasons:
  • Oilfield casing material grades have far greater tensile strengths than standard line pipe material
  • Threaded nature allows for fast installation and no change in mechanical properties
  • Various diameters and wall thicknesses available
