When a bore has sustained damage or corrosion it can lead to a number of issues affecting its lifespan or performance.
These can include formation ingress, unwanted aquifer communication, performance decline, pump damage and structural compromise. Installing an AGE Swage Patch to seal the damaged area is a cost effective solution, which results in minimal impact to the internal bore geometry.
An AGE Swage Patch consists of a thin-wall stainless steel tube clad with vulcanised rubber. The patch is set by permanently deforming it radially outwards with a high pressure swaging packer that is run and inflated inside the patch. The rubber exterior of the patch ensures that the zone is not only sealed from solid ingress, but is also hydraulically sealed.
These patches are manufactured specifically to suit the job application, meaning we can cater for any required length and diameter. Additionally, the rubber exterior can be designed to seal into either casing or wedge wire screens.
