For naturally gravel packed bore designs M-Packers are able to provide a permanent annulus seal between screens and casing. M-Packers incorporate a flare at the top of the riser pipe to ensure a smooth lead in for any future equipment to be run downhole.
The AGE grab packer is incorporated for the installation of the screen assembly to keep the designed lead in for the M-Packer and provide a more reliable installation apposed to traditional installation methods.
The grab packer element is inflated within the screen riser and is able to provide a gentle high friction gripping action capable of tremendous tensional loads, the screen assembly is picked up and lowered down hole. Once at the appropriate setting depth the grab packer is deflated and the screen assembly remains in a sealed position down hole. Our trained operators are able to ensure a smooth installation process irrespective of down hole static water levels.Â
Grab packers are also utilised for the installation or removal process of Slipovers used for artificially gravel packed bore designs. Â
